These are sterol lipids with a structure based on the stigmastane skeleton, which consists of a cholestane moiety bearing an ethyl group at the carbon atom C24. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 8-[(3R,4S,5S,6R)-3-{[(2S,3R,4R,5R)-3,4-dihydroxy-5-(hydroxymethyl)oxolan-2-yl]oxy}-4,5-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]-5,7-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4H-chromen-4-one.
